How to Use AesculaMD: Your Pre-Med Platform Guide

A walkthrough of AesculaMD's core tools — the Diagnostic, Tracker, Committee, Interview Simulator, and Strategy Navigator — and how to use each one to strengthen your medical school application.

The AesculaMD System: Built for the Full Journey

AesculaMD is built around a single idea: a pre-med student's journey is long, complex, and deeply individual — and the most useful tool is one that knows your specific situation and tells you exactly what to do next. The platform has four core phases, each designed to serve you at a different stage of your journey.

Phase 1: The Free Diagnostic

The Diagnostic is the starting point — and it's completely free, no account required. Eleven questions across three rounds. In about five minutes, you'll receive:

• Your pre-med archetype: One of seven profiles (Social Mission Advocate, Research Scholar, Clinical Operator, First Gen Trailblazer, Community Leader, Non-Traditional Transformer, or Balanced Achiever) based on how you answered. Your archetype captures your current strengths and the narrative angle that will resonate most in applications.
• Domain scores: Academic, Clinical, Research, and Mission — each with a score and one honest sentence explaining where you stand and why.
• School fit preview: Your top matches from AesculaMD's 195-school verified database, based on your profile.
• 90-day action plan: Three specific next steps grounded in your actual situation, not generic advice.

The Diagnostic is the most honest 5-minute read a pre-med student can get on where they actually stand. No sugar-coating. No vague encouragement. Specific scores, specific gaps, specific next steps.

Phase 2: The Tracker

The Tracker is where you build your pre-med ledger over time. Seven tabs, each serving a specific purpose:

• Dashboard: Your current domain scores, upcoming milestones, and next action. Everything at a glance.
• Log: Log any clinical, research, volunteering, shadowing, or leadership experience in under 60 seconds. Each logged entry feeds your domain scores and Story Bank.
• Quick Coach: A lightweight AI advisor grounded in your actual logged data. Ask a question; get an answer that accounts for your specific profile, not generic advice that could apply to anyone.
• Schools: Your saved school list with application stage tracking. The "Generate My School List" feature builds a personalized strategic and financial list from all 195 schools.
• Story Bank: Maps your logged experiences to the 15 AAMC core competencies. Shows which competencies you have evidence for and which are gaps.
• Roadmap: Your semester-by-semester path to your dream school, based on your current profile and application timeline.
• Application: Your AMCAS-style dossier — activities, descriptions, context, and impact statements.

Phase 3: The Review Panel

The Review Panel is the most original tool in AesculaMD. Four readers — an Academic Reviewer, a Mission Advocate, a Research Director, and a Student Affairs Dean — go through your actual record out loud: your logged hours, your named roles, your reflections, your activities, your personal statement.

What it will not do is name a school or hand down an admissions decision. It used to do both, and we stopped: everything anyone outside an admissions office knows about a school is public, and dressing public data up as a named institution's verdict is a claim we cannot support and you cannot check. So the Panel assesses the thing it can actually see — your record. You hear concerns raised about your research gap. You see the academic reviewer read your GPA trajectory. You get an honest assessment of what your application currently proves, how it reads against broad program priorities, and four specific action items that seed into your Tracker as milestones.

Phase 4: The Interview Simulator

Once your record holds up, the next step is being able to talk about it. The Interview Simulator delivers:

• Personalized questions based on your actual profile and target school
• School-specific questions tailored to each school's known interview style
• AI analysis of your answers: content, delivery, tone, what landed, what missed
• Follow-up questions that push back, the way a real interviewer does
• A readiness score — a calibrated estimate of your interview preparedness based on your session history

The Committee tells you whether you'd get an interview. The Interview Simulator prepares you to succeed in one. No other platform connects these two moments.

The Strategy Navigator

The Strategy Navigator is AesculaMD's deep-strategy conversational agent. Unlike the Quick Coach (which answers individual questions), the Strategy Navigator conducts full strategy sessions — pulling from your Tracker data, your school list, your application profile, and the 195-school database to give you extended, personalized guidance on any aspect of your pre-med journey.

The System Working Together
